Microsoft has started their new service called “Microsoft Service Credits for Web Search” which basically pays companies to use Windows Live Search. Viacom has just hit Google and YouTube with a $1 Billion lawsuit for showing nearly 160,000 video clips belonging to Viacom. Viacom says that their clips have been viewed more than 1.5 billion times on YouTube.
Google doesn’t seem worried and said that they were confident that the copyright holders’ legal rights were respected by YouTube.
