Sporting a new welcome page for testers, Firefox 3 Beta 4 is now available for download. The 4th beta boasts better integration with Vista, OS X, and Linux. Improvements to the Javascript engine and memory usage are also being mentioned on the announcement page.

Mozilla is currently celebrating reaching the 500 million download mark for its increasingly popular open-source browser, Firefox. As part of the celebration, the Spread Firefox site has announced that Mozilla is trying to earn 500 million grains of donated rice from FreeRice which would be enough to feed 25,000 people.
