IdeaFry: Free Blog Host With Your Own Ads
There are a number of free blog host services but not all of them will let you display your own ads.
If you know anyone looking to set up a blog on a free blog host with their own ads, tell them about IdeaFry. IdeaFry is a free blog hosting service that allows users to display their own Google ads. The service uses a 90-10 display ratio meaning your ad is shown 9 times out of 10, while the service’s ad is displayed once.
IdeaFry was built on WordPress MU and allows the user to import existing blogs from TypePad, Blogger, LiveJournal, etc. Backups are created every 24 hours which is good news for any user.
Currently, there are only 100 themes available and there are no links to existing IdeaFry blogs, which would give interested users an idea of how their blog would look.

Interesting. I know Blogger integrates seamlessly with Google Ads, but not everyone does. This is pretty cool.

Hi and thanks for the post. One huge advantage that blogger has is that it is owned by Google. When it comes to ranking quickly (and higher than a non-blogger blog). it will be interesting to see how this site fares in search. I’ll certainly be giving it a try.

Interesting concept. Especially the ads part. It looks a good deal for both IdeaFry and the users as Ideafry will be able to cover the costs of providing this service whereas the users can earn money without the hassles of hosting, etc. A Win-Win situation!
Although one would think that investing in a domain would be better for the user. Does IdeaFry support domains?

I think I’m going to stick with blogger because of the PR advantage but this new site looks really cool and I’ll definitely give it a fair shot.

This was quite a new site because the official themes still not been released yet except 3 adsense themes that had reported on their blog.
I guess this could attract to newly fresh newbie who want to start on blogging because the chosen name still available.

As an avid business blogger, I know I have preferred the WordPress format to the Blogger format because of the opportunities it gives for presenting the appropriate style and customizing along with giving more options for how people interact with and view your blog. It’s always good to see new windows opening up in terms of sites that might allow for more people to create more useful blogs, whether business-related or personal.

9/10 is quite good, but 10/10 @ blogger is a very cool thing… so I am there… and no plans to switch in coming future. Free blog with blogspot is better as both are subdomains….

9/10 is quite good, but how we know they only show their ads 1 times from ten?
For now, I’m still enjoy to use blogger, but blogger I think ideafry would be better because they use wordpress
