Add Previews To Your Firefox Bookmarks
For anyone who regularly spends time on the web, bookmarking your favorite sites is part of your surfing routine. The problem starts when your collection of bookmarked sites becomes too big which makes looking for a specific site a bit tedious.
Having your saved sites in specific categories help but wouldn’t it be better if you could have another way of easily identifying individual bookmarks? How about adding previews to your bookmarks? Sound interesting?
Bookmark Previews is a Firefox extension that will add an album and thumbnail view to your bookmarks organizer.

The extension will create previews for pages you bookmark, or when you visit bookmarked pages. When you first install it, you have the option of letting the extension create previews, or have it create previews at a later time.

![[Bookmark Previews Menu View]](http://www.brownbaron.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/bkmarkprev_3.png)
All created previews are saved as .jpg files and will be deleted once the extension is uninstalled.
There seems to be a bug when you run this extension in Firefox 3 on 64-bit Linux.
Bookmark Previews works in Firefox 2 and 3.

Well this is great - another incentive for me to get in amongst my bookmarks and get rid - this will certainly help with that too as I can quickly see which is no longer useful.
Another useful tip, thanks.

Hello brownbarron hope you are ok,
Bookmark previews reminds me of across between ObjectDock and Winflip applications.
It looks really good must give it a try. I daren’t look at the size of my Firefox folder.
Regards.

Just starting to get into bookmarking, but I can see where this plugin would come in handy.
