A Peek At WordPress 2.5

[WordPress Logo]Those of you who haven’t been upgrading your WordPress installations due to laziness or lack of time might just change your mind when you see how 2.5 will look. A sneak peek provided by Matt shows an upgraded interface with sweet new features to boot.

Out of the box, WordPress 2.5 will have a customizable dashboard, built-in galleries, built-in Gravatars, multi-file uploads, one click plugin upgrades, full text feeds, tag management, and faster load times.

Sounds good right? Let’s take a look at some screenshots.

The Dashboard has been redesigned to display a summary of incoming links, recent comments, scheduled posts, blog stats, along with WordPress updates and news.

Navigation is better organized with the separation of primary and secondary options.

The new Write page has a cool new feature: the ability to have the visual editor go full screen. That should help you focus on what you’re writing heh.

The Manage screen has been redesigned and looks great as well. You can opt to use the old colors if you miss them and even create your own color scheme.

The first release candidate is available for download for those who wish to participate in the testing.

Will you be upgrading to 2.5 when it’s finished?
