Make sure you restore your ingredients well before they run out. That saves you a lot of time when a lot of customers pop up at once. Also, try to memorize the recipe for each item on the menu list. I had them all memorized after the first time playing. I've gotten top-chef three or so times, and trust me, if I can do it, so can anyone.
