Monday Time Waster: Sushi Go Round
Let’s kick off the week with with another hand-picked time waster. Today’s productivity cure is called Sushi Go Round. You’re a replacement chef given one week to prove you deserve to work in this restaurant.
The game is simple enough. Customers come in and place their orders, you take a look at the recipe book to see the ingredients and proceed to make the order. Keep an eye on your ingredients as they will run out which means you have to call for a fresh batch. If you happen to make a mistake with the order, well, I’ll leave that as a surprise heh.

That was fun! Besides memorizing the ingredients, we have to serve the customers fast, re-order depleted ingredients and clear the plates.
A lot of things going on at the same time, not as simple as it looks.

Brown Baron, as a sushi-fiend, I think you’ve found the perfect game for me. Thanks so much for bringing my productivity to a screeching halt. I’ll go thank Tish as well, since I made it over here from her Sunday Samplings…
I can’t wait to get up to the Eel rolls level!

You just have to prioritize; the combos and specials usually bring in more cash, so if you’re lagging behind in orders, make those first and worry about the lower-priced stuff after. Make sure you restore your ingredients well before they run out. That saves you a lot of time when a lot of customers pop up at once. Also, try to memorize the recipe for each item on the menu list. I had them all memorized after the first time playing. I’ve gotten top-chef three or so times, and trust me, if I can do it, so can anyone.
