Mozilla Celebrates 500 Million Firefox Downloads

[500 Million Firefox Downloads]

Mozilla is currently celebrating reaching the 500 million download mark for its increasingly popular open-source browser, Firefox. As part of the celebration, the Spread Firefox site has announced that Mozilla is trying to earn 500 million grains of donated rice from FreeRice which would be enough to feed 25,000 people.

Good news indeed. With the extensive amount of great add-ons available for the browser originally named Phoenix, it’s no surprise that Firefox is gaining ground.

Now all Mozilla needs is to plug all the memory leaks and finish Firefox 3.
