Firefox Extension: StatusBars

If you’re a Firefox user, you probably love installing and testing the numerous add-ons available. One downside to having a lot of extensions is that your status bar tends to get really crowded.

Just to make things clear, your status bar is that bar at the bottom of your browser. Take my status bar for instance. I’ve got the Search Status, Compete, ReminderFox, JSView, ScribeFire add-on, and a few others down there. Yep, it’s a jungle down there.

[StatusBar Screen 1]The StatusBars add-on for Firefox will help you organize your statusbar by letting you set up and switch between multiple bars. This is great for me since I can have a general bar containing ReminderFox, Gmail Manager, and Search Status, while having different bars with different content. Just right click on your statusbar and select the one you want to switch to.

Configure the colors you want your statusbars to have, what you want on it, and you’re all set.

Definitely one of my new favorites heh.
