JAlbum: Create And Share Your Photo Gallery For Free
There are numerous services that let you share your photos online. There are also different types of software that let you create your own web album for your site. These are all fine but what if you wanted the ability to host your web album on your own computer?
JAlbum is a free application for Windows, Mac, and Linux, that allows you to create and share great looking photo galleries on the web. You can create your own photo gallery and upload it to your own site, or you can even share your photo gallery right from your hard drive using JAlbum’s built-in web server. Your friends and family will only need a browser to view your album.
JAlbum also lets you host your image gallery on their servers for free. You get 30 megs of spcace if you opt to host in JAlbum’s server.
Creating your photo gallery is as simple as dragging and dropping your images and image folders into JAlbum and clicking on the “Make Album” button.

You can customize your photo gallery by using different skins submitted by JAlbum users. Just pick those you want and download them. There’s also a sample gallery for each skin so you can make sure the skin looks good before downloading it.

JAlbum has an integrated FTP and SFTP client which makes uploading your image gallery simple and easy. You can add any file type and not just images to your gallery. Nice right?
If you want the app in a different language, JAlbum can currently create photo galleries with text and comments in 31 languages.
Here’s how JAlbum looks on a Mac and Linux:

@Grace:

It must be to prove that it supports different languages hehe
@sylv3blade:
For their server? You get 30 megs of space but I don’t know what the file size limits are. I’m guessing most people would prefer hosting the gallery on their own server.
@Tay:
It’s pretty good
