Brown Batch #39: Link Love Fiesta

Before we start a new week let’s look back at the newly-ended week and put the spotlight on interesting posts you might have missed. These were all written by great people. Go give them a visit, leave a comment, and make a new friend.

This week’s Brown Batch are:

  • TechnoSpot - 9 Tips To increase Your Productivity With Excel 2007 (Office)
  • Welcome to Office Tips and in this post we will learn about some of the features, tips and tricks of Microsoft Office 2007 Excel Sheets which we usually miss or don’t bother to use without even knowing how beneficial they can be.

  • Disjointed Intelligence - Insane Experiences of a (fairly) Sane Woman
  • We talked a few times on the phone over the space of 2 days and it was decided that we’d meet that evening- the evening of the 2nd day. It was almost time for us to go out and I got sick. I called to cancel, and he begged me to come anyway. (such disregard for my well being!)

  • AntiBarbie - Poetry - Abrupt Awakenings
  • When did I become so damn careless?
When did I become dumber than sin?
I need to hang up “missing” posters,
to figure out where my brain has been.

  • Madhur Kapoor - How to remove Virus from USB Drives
  • One of the ways by which a virus can infect your PC is through USB/Pen drives. Common viruses such as ’Ravmon’ , ‘New Folder.exe’, ‘Orkut is banned’ etc are spreading through USB drives. Most anti virus programs are unable to detect them and even if they do, in most cases they are unable to delete the file, only quarantine it.

  • Journey With Water Learner - The Emperor and The Seed
  • An emperor in the Far East was growing old and wanted to find a successor. He called young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, “It is time for me to step down and choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you.”

  • R Playground - Life, love, and the pursuit of happiness
  • Then it hit me one day. I realized that there are real people behind the blogs. People with families, people who share the same feelings, the same thoughts, and life struggles. There wasn’t a robot behind the keyboard making up blogs. We shared our lives and our stories. We spent days and hours getting to know each other. I started to call you friend.

  • People In The Sun - A Week Before My Thirty-Fifth, I Want To Make A Few Things Clear:
  • I see myself through the eyes of my society and learn my social identity is shifting. I learn I no longer belong to one group of consumers but to another; a less demanding one, presumably less inclined to fall for the hidden persuaders of advertising. Passively and apathetically I welcome my new identity.
