Socialize Me! WordPress Plugin
My good friend Wayne Smallman of Blah, Blah! Technology has released a new WordPress plugin to help you make the most of Social Media and Social Networking.
Socialize Me! gives you a new way of connecting with visitors to your blog. How? In Wayne’s own words:
Imagine one of your articles has been submitted to StumbleUpon. You’re getting a steady stream of visitors to your ‘blog. You could really connect with some of these guys — if you knew who they were.
Well here’s the thing, with Socialize Me! those visitors to your ‘blog will see a simple message when they arrive: “Hi, thanks for the visit! Wayne’s on StumbleUpon, too!” with a link to your profile.
The plugin will show a similar message to visitors coming from Digg, Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, and Pownce among others. All you have to do is add your profiles and usernames and Socialize Me! will handle the rest. Pretty slick.
The plugin requires WordPress 2.3 and above.

You’re not late

Yeah, I’ve had a load of feedback and suggestions, so I have to look into each seriously.
Most of the stuff is just making it more user friendly, which is an important part…

I like the idea behind this plugin, but I don’t think it will have that big of a benefit and I don’t like the appearance.
I will be keeping an eye on future versions of the plugin to see how it continues to improve.

Hi Kyle, since I’ve installed the Plugin on my ‘blog, I’ve had about 25-30 friend requests across maybe 5-8 different web services — that’s inside the first 3 days.
But — and this brings us to your second point — positioning and styling play a big part.
I can’t design the Plugin to suit everyone. That’s down to you as a ‘blogger.
I can only add in the options to let you customize it the way you like.
Speak soon…

@Wayne:

Will you be making more plugins? Socialize Me is a great start too
@Kyle:
I think it depends on the visitors. It will probably work best with people from SU and Delicious.
@Jaypee:
You’re always welcome buddy
@Techblissonline:
I agree buddy, it’s a good plugin.
January 26th, 2008 16:29
Yes, there’s going to be more Plugins.
Now I know how stupidly easy it is to write WordPress Plugins, I have plans for more.
I’m also going to look at Facebook Applications, too.
Those guys are using PHP the same as WordPress — though I won’t be writing anything like “What Kind Of Table Are You?”, or any crap like that!

That sounds like update hell to me. So what’s the upgrade plan for WordPress 2.5? Take a week off work?

I came across a site which sells luxury watches at affordable prices. It would have been a great Valentine’s gift; however my husband is not so crazy about watches. Anyway, they are selling these Swiss-made rolex replica watches. They are from Italy and the features are similar to those of the high quality Swiss Rolex watches, it is impossible to tell them apart. So if you want to enjoy the sophistication of Rolex but don’t want to spend too much, check out watchinstyle.com. I think this would make a great graduation gift. Plus there will be less worries of being stolen when wearing a rolex replica rather than the original one. LookRichForLess.com also sells other popular brands, so visit them now.
