Changing Your Windows XP Boot Screen The Safe Way

If you’re a Windows XP user who hasn’t switched to Vista, you’ve probably done some desktop customizing to give it a fresh look. While you’re waiting for the release of Windows 7, why don’t you give your boot screen a little attention?

There are some applications that let you customize your boot screen but require you to patch the XP kernel. Let’s take a look at a better way of doing it.

BootSkin is a free application that will let Windows 2000 and Windows XP users customize their boot screen without the need to patch the kernel. You won’t have to worry about screwing up your system files.
