Brown Batch #36: Link Love Fiesta

With all the great blogs out there, I could spend all day listing all the interesting articles from each and everyone. Good thing the Brown Batch is a weekly event heh. Let’s get started.
This week’s Brown Batch are:
- Christy’s Coffee Break - Looking Back - How I Started Blogging, 2007 Highlights, and More
At the time I thought that blogs were personal diaries, not real websites. I had no idea that you could actually have your own website that others would read. I decided I had to have a blog of my own!
I could hardly figure out how to post. I had no idea what words like “archive” and “template” meant. It took me three days before I figured out how to download a picture. It was a completely foreign area to me but I was determined to figure it all out.
- Vegan Momma - Excuses: Turning I Can’t Into I Can
Guess what? As much as I cannot stand excuses there are times when I have made them myself. I’m going to go over the ridiculous excuses I’ve made in the past and what I’m doing to change them.
- NeonScent - 5 Reasons Why Metaphors Lighten Articles
For example, “Blogging is like climbing up the corporate ladder. You go step by step. And if you slip up, you end up at square one again.” You might not know a lot about the infamous corporate ladder, but maybe it will leave an impression on your readers, and they’ll remember to come back again.
- Madhur Kapoor - Far Cry 2 Technical Update
Ubisoft has developed a brand new engine for the game which is called “Duniya” (a word which means World). The will not have the concept of “levels” and will have a open and dynamic environment.
- Untwisted Vortex - How to Make Money Online
What most of them have in common is that they parrot information coming from one or two authority sources. They won’t identify the sources, even if they know what the sources are. That’s because they want you to think that THEY ARE the source.
- Vandelay Website Design - Viewing Your Website As An Asset
Sometimes those of us who are building businesses online tend to overlook all of the assets that we are building. However, just because something is an asset doesn’t mean that it could or should be sold.
