What Kind Of Geek Are You?
The start of a new year is a time of reflection. It’s a time for looking back at what you have accomplished and what you still need to do. More importantly, it’s a time for looking within ourselves and accepting who we are.
This gives rise to the million dollar question, “Who are you?”. In keeping with the tradition here at Brown Thoughts, we’ll rephrase that question to “What kind of geek are you?”.
To help you answer the question, here are 56 kinds of geeks by Scott Johnson. Take a good look and find yourself
.

So, which one are you?

Hmm… I guess I’m a Linux geek primarily and Book Geek secondarily. But… some of those seem to be oxymorons. Fitness Geek? Sports Geek?!

Too few feminine-looking geeks, you guys! True, I’m a book geek, at least, but the book geek sure looked like a man. The anime geek could go either way. But even counting her–or him–I found the five out of 56.
The fitness geek, travel geek, even the cooking geeks looked like men. Where was the yoga geek? C’mon, yoga geeks are still as prevalent as Kiss geeks or Nintendo geeks.
Doesn’t anyone know a La Leche League geek? The Mommy version of fantasy football?
(La Leche, in case, it’s true and only guys are true geeks, is all about breast-feeding. The Moms get super geeky about it. Some of ‘em advocate breast feeding till the kid’s five.)

LOL, I Stumbled Upon this list yesterday! I’d have to say I’m the book geek, because I absolutely love to read and if I’m going anywhere I’ll take a book with me (as well as a notebook to plan out new blogging ideas).
