Structure: Free Magazine/Newspaper Style WordPress Theme
Just when you thought you’ve seen all the great themes, another one pops up. Justin Tadlock, author of the Visionary theme for WordPress, has released another killer theme.
Structure is a magazine/newspaper theme for WordPress that’s even better than Visionary. The theme comes with 2 different layouts and you’d be hard-pressed to choose just one. One of the most interesting features of Structure is its 3 grid layout which allows users to move different content blocks around.

The theme’s official description states:
A theme for news/magazine sites with a blog-friendly option too. It includes built-in video and image features that easily allow you to customize your site. There are content blocks that you can place virtually anywhere on the page.
The alternate layout is called “Excerpts” and is geared towards those who are looking for a more traditional theme.

Structure supports WP 2.3 tags but can be modified to work on older versions.
It’s definitely a killer theme. Best of all, it’s free.
Thanks to Nick of I’m Writing Sports for the heads up.

This definitely looks like a great theme. I see many other newspaper related themes that are priced quite high and this being free will definitely compete with those.

Thanks for featuring my theme. I’m actually working on a theme options page at the moment. I hope to release it in an update later this week. Maybe this’ll take away some of the work the user will have to do.
Keith, I also see some really high-priced themes, and a few of my readers have recommended that I put a price tag on this theme or add at least a donation page. I suppose I might do the donation thing. Who am I to refuse money? I’d rather give back to the WordPress community and earn money through ads and freelance work.

Great work, Justin! You gotta have a donation page.

@jsanderz:
. Like K said, it’s a fantastic theme. Having a theme options section will be great for those who don’t want to do it manually.

I agree. Premium quality
@Keith:
That’s true buddy. This could definitely take on the high priced themes.
@Justin:
You’re welcome
@K:
Haha let me know which one when it goes live

I feel all tingly.
Up until now I haven’t considered changing themes for MAMD, but this one has given me pause to really think about it. Maybe something to bring in the new year? Hmmm.
