Structure: Free Magazine/Newspaper Style WordPress Theme

Just when you thought you’ve seen all the great themes, another one pops up. Justin Tadlock, author of the Visionary theme for WordPress, has released another killer theme.

Structure is a magazine/newspaper theme for WordPress that’s even better than Visionary. The theme comes with 2 different layouts and you’d be hard-pressed to choose just one. One of the most interesting features of Structure is its 3 grid layout which allows users to move different content blocks around.

The theme’s official description states:

A theme for news/magazine sites with a blog-friendly option too. It includes built-in video and image features that easily allow you to customize your site. There are content blocks that you can place virtually anywhere on the page.

The alternate layout is called “Excerpts” and is geared towards those who are looking for a more traditional theme.

Structure supports WP 2.3 tags but can be modified to work on older versions.

It’s definitely a killer theme. Best of all, it’s free.

Thanks to Nick of I’m Writing Sports for the heads up.
