Google Reader Adds Recommendations And Drag And Drop

If you’re a regular user of Google Reader, you might have noticed 2 new features that have been added. The popular feed reader now displays a list of recommended feeds generated from other people’s feeds that have a similar interest to yours.

Google Reader’s main page shows the top recommendations based on your interests on the upper right. Users can view the full list of recommendations to browse through other suggestions.

Note that the number of subscribers listed isn’t the total number. It’s probably the number of people that share an interest with you regarding that specific feed, or the number of people subscribed to that feed using Google Reader.

The other new feature is the ability to drag and drop feeds to change their order. You can also drag and drop folders if you want to rearrange them in a different order.

The Google Operating System blog has more information if you’d like to find out more.
