Brown Batch #31: Link Love Fiesta

It’s Sunday and you know what that means. Today we focus on great posts by other bloggers. Go and visit each one. You might just discover a new feed to add to your reader
.
My buddy Mike has generously given me the Good Buzzz Award. He also created the badge for Polli who started the award.
The award’s official description states:
“The Good Buzzz Blog Award is for blogs that have generated a happy hum in the blogosphere. Whether it be for their blog in general, one outstanding, unusual or controversial post, or for something cool the blogger has done.”
Now with a description like that, who wouldn’t want one? I now present this award to Teknobites, AntiBarbie, Life Rocks, Garry Conn, Vegan Momma, Aaron Cook, and Kyle’s Cove.
This week’s Brown Batch are:
- AnitoKid - Efren Bata Reyes aka The Magician: Working-Class Hero by Ted Lerner
Dressed in rolled up jeans, a short-sleeve polo shirt, and rubber slippers, Efren, the man they call “the magician” in the States because of his incredible shot making, works the table. Occasionally, he smokes a cigarette or laughs his endearing smile.
- Untwisted Vortex - Hotspots And Readability
All of the studies indicate that text is read long before images are even looked at. If you want to use images, however, use large images. I’m not talking about the banner ads. Visitors have programmed themselves, probably unintentionally, to ignore most banner ads.
- TechnoSpot - Add/Remove Program Still Shows Entry After Uninstall?
This is one of the common problem which I used to face in college times. Some of the software used to still have the entry in Add / Remove section of windows XP even if I have used the un-installer to remove the application or program.
- Shankar Ganesh - Firefox 3 Beta 1 - First Impressions
A favicon on the address bar is no longer just a favicon. There’s more to it - click on it, get more details - does the site use cookies, certificates did you visit the site before today, have you saved any passwords for the site - all from one single window.

Aww isn’t it cute?
I haven’t visited AnitoKid yet so I’ll be sure to swing by and see what’s going on. Thanks so much for the award. I sure missed visiting your website when I was on vacation then again that might have been a good thing since I would have been tempted to try out the gadgets you serve up.
Wordpress is acting wonky I did not get the link to this posting.
