The Couch Potato’s Keyboard
So you’ve finally gotten that monster rig you’ve been saving up for. You have your desk set up just the way you like it. Everything is perfect except for one thing, you wish you could use your sofa as your computer chair when you’re watching videos or playing music.
While there are a multitude of wireless keyboards on the market, chances are, you haven’t seen this one. The Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 8000 is a perfect fit for your media center pc. It’s silver design and curved layout makes it look like a console on a space ship. Yes, that’s a good thing.

One thing to remember is that this keyboard is an entertainment keyboard which means there is no number pad. The keys are backlit, an essential feature when you’re watching movies or listening to your audio collection in a dark room. A wireless mouse is also included.

The keyboard is a great addition to any media center pc but you have to be willing to pay a little more. It costs $299.95.

Yes, but will it blend?
Nice find, buddy! I don’t use the keypad much anyway, so that would be a plus right there.

I agree, its too expensive and there is no numberpad… I am used to doing all my mathematical data entry through the num pad. But I guess alot of people who mostly use only the alpha part of the keyboard will find it useful. I will again advice the producers to use MyPRGenie (http://www.myprgenie.com/technology) to market this product and check for its demand. MyPRGenie allows customers to be connected to the products they are interested in … and hence builds PR and resolves all marketing issues. I have been using it regularly and find it quite useful.

that’s cool but i can’t afford that! i have my a4 tech multimedia keyboard and i guess I’ll have to be contented with it for now. i like the shortcut buttons too, especially for my computer and the buttons for media player.

It really is a great keyboard. Ang although its price has dropped ever since this post was writen it still is very expensive. It is nice to treat your self every once and a while…so i am seriously contemplating buying this keyboard

I just can’t get use to that curved keyboards. I now have a left handed keyboard. Not because I’m left handed but the number pad is on the left hand side, meaning the mouse on my right hand side is closer and my arm is not bend in an unusually fashion.
