blipBack: Video Comment Widget For Your Blog
![[blipBack Logo]](http://www.brownbaron.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/blipback_logo.png)
If you’re looking for a way to make your site or blog stand out, this just might be what you need. blipBack from Ojingo Labs is a video comment widget that you can install on your site that will let your readers leave a video message from their webcam or mobile phone.
You just need to register at the blipBack site and you can choose to have the widget auto installed or you can copy the HTML code and embed it into your site.

This is an interesting alternative to shoutboxes and can be used by blog authors to leave short messages when they’re on vacation and unable to update their blog. It’s also another way of getting your readers to interact with your site.

Wow, that’s pretty cool! I’m assuming the videos are saved and streamed from the blipBack servers? I suppose I could go visit their site but I’m too lazy at the moment and have too many windows open already

I need to upgrade! There are so many great plug-ins and widgets that I can’t use because I run an older machine. This one really looks like fun.

Even when I upgraded my machine a year and half ago, I couldn’t bring myself to throw away my old one. Now my kids use it hehe. Of course, they use my computer a lot too.

Nice idea but there’re many other widgets without signup.

They’ve got something called blipBomb too. Same principle as blipBack but not as intrusive.

In the near future signup will not be necessary, because blipback is going to integrate with facebook. So if you will be in Facebook sandbox, u’ll get blipback widget automatically too.

@Pavel:
That’s an interesting development. It should definitely help give blipBack more exposure.

@Brown Baron
Nice article, but you forget to mention various video effects on video. And soon multilingual version of widget and site will be released. Anyway, blipback in the start and ready for any changes:)
