Hmmm....this is a potentially useful tip, especially since I have started to integrate videos into my blog a little more lately.

But then again, I tend to clear my cache rather frequently, which presumably would wipe out any stored videos in there. I learned to start clearing my cache more often after I got a Trojan (which was fortunately caught by my AVG antivirus program), and upon tracing the source, figured out that it had come through my cache while I was surfing on a traffic exchange.

Brownbarron what a very useful application this could be, have you tried it, if so does it work very well?
Karl,
You could always run Video Cache View before you clear out your cache.

@Karl:
Heh that does present a slight problem :mrgreen:
<br />
@jsanderz:
It works pretty good. I like that it shows you what site the video was from. Saves a lot of time :grin:

Interesting find, I usually go to IE cache tmp folder to copy the video this could save a lot of time. BTW does this work with Firefox too?

Okay, this is somewhat off topic, but could someone please tell me why the paragraphs in all of my comments keep getting squished together? I know that I'm pressing the enter key twice in order to leave a blank line between each paragraph, but for some reason the white space does not show up after I submit the comment. Do I need to use the line break HTML tag?

@Karl:
Normally the enter key is sufficient for adding line breaks but on this theme it doesn't work hehe. You can use the < br /> tag. Just put the first < together with br :grin:

@Brown Baron:

Thank you for clearing that up. It was getting rather frustrating to post longer comments and risk the possibility that other readers would think that I didn't know how to put white space between paragraphs. I know that some readers get irritated when they have to wade through large blocks of text all at once with no breaks in between the lines so that they can "rest" their eyes.

Hmmm....on second thought, maybe this isn't as clear as it seems. I just tried posting two more comments and used the line break tag with the same syntax as you mentioned and it STILL doesn't work. I even tried looking at the source code of the page to see if I could find any clues but I still can't figure it out. This is just getting ridiculous...there must be SOME way of making a blank line with this theme because I've seen blank lines in other people's comments.

Awesome application. I'll definitely be using this a lot in the future.
If you want to directly download the videos from video sites, you can find firefox plugins to do so easily. Skip the middle process... it's a little bit faster, I guess.

I think it's illegal to take stuff from other video sites like Youtube.com and Metacafe.com
Well who really cares. I am going to use this tool to download videos.

YouTubeRobot.com today announces YouTube Robot 2.0, a tool that enables you to download video from YouTube.com onto your PC, convert it to various formats to watch it when you are on the road on mobile devices like mobile phone, iPod, iPhone, Pocket PC, PSP, or Zune.

YouTube Robot allows you to search for videos using keywords or browse video by category, author, channel, language, tags, etc. When you find something noteworthy, you can preview the video right in YouTube Robot and then download it onto the hard disk drive. The speed, at which you will be downloading, is very high: up to 5 times faster than other software when you download a single file and up to 4 times faster when you download multiple files at a time.

Manual download is not the only option with YouTube Robot. You may as well schedule the download and conversion tasks to be executed automatically, even when you are not around. Downloading is followed by conversion to the format of your choice and uploading videos to a mobile device (if needed). For example, you can plug in iPod, select the video, go to bed, and when you wake up next morning, your iPod will be ready to play new YouTube videos.
