StumbleUpon Invades Major Search Engines
Some of you might have noticed that popular social bookmarking and networking site, StumbleUpon, has a new feature. SearchReviews is a new feature that integrates StumbleUpon ratings and information with search results from major search engines like Google, Ask, MSN, Live.com, AOL, and Yahoo. SearchReviews can also be seen in YouTube, Flickr, Wikipedia, and Google Reader.
If you have the StumbleUpon toolbar installed, you’ll see icons added to your search results that display who among your friends have rated the site, and how popular the site is with the SU community.

To enable SearchReviews, open your StumbleUpon toolbar options, click on the Configuration tab and make sure all the options under ‘Web Search’ are selected.

StumbleUpon has been my favorite for a while now and it just keeps getting better. For those of you who have just downloaded the StumbleUpon toolbar , you’re welcome to experiment on this blog

This feature has actually been around quite some time for paying (or is it donating?) members of StumbleUpon. I’ve been using it for a few months with a free account though.

@Bobby,
Now that is a scary thought but I bet you are right. I truly believe they want to control the net. What better way than to purchase social networking companies. Gah!
@Brown,
Yeah I think you are correct. Hmm, wonder which social networking company they’ll purchase next?
