Visual Makeover For Firefox 3
Mozilla’s interface designer, Alex Faaborg, has posted more information about Firefox 3’s visual refresh. It seems that Firefox 3 will be featuring different skins for Win XP, Vista, Mac OS X, and some Linux distributions.
The above image is a mockup of the interface for Vista while the image below is a mockup of the Firefox 3 interface for Mac.
No mockups for Linux versions are available as of this time. Firefox 3 will have different sets of icons totalling 120 for the different operating systems to enforce visual integration.
Faaborg also talked about plans for OS X on his blog:
For OS X we are following the new unified style that is used consistently throughout all applications on Leopard. Firefox will look the same on 10.4 as it does on 10.5, similar to iTunes, and iLife 08.
Another Firefox 3 feature that was mentioned was the ability to navigate to a bookmark or history item by typing part of its name, or part of the URL.

I have mandriva Linux in 2009. 3 firefox stable.
