Panasonic Eye Scanner Shoots Laser Into Your Eye
Security systems are getting more complicated as companies research and develop more reliable user identification systems. Panasonic’s BM-ET200 is a new entry to the security field. The upcoming scanner uses biometric technology for iris recognition which is supposedly able to identify users within 0.3 seconds.
Users can stand up to 20 inches away while the scanner shoots a laser into their eyes during identification. The scanner uses voice guidance to help align the user’s eyes with the camera. Using the Daugman algorithm, Panasonic says the BM-ET200’s false-accept rate is zero.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’d rather not have my eyeballs shot with lasers

That was my thought too! We’d have our eyes scanned once, and then we’d be done for!

I’d be the one in a billion guy who’s retina was scorched by a uncalibrated laser! I can’t wait until they start charting our gene maps too. I want a FBI cerebral tracking implant also
