A Social Network For Google Earth?

The Google Operating System blog has just posted an article about Arizona State University students testing a new product that’s scheduled to come out later this year. The product’s invitation page talks about an application developed by a major internet company, and is related to video games, social networking, and 3D modeling.

The Google Earth Second Life rumor popped up last year with CNN Money reporting:

The notion that you can create objects and buildings and place them in a virtual world makes Google Earth sound less like a mapping tool and more like a metaverse.

Sounds interesting. What do you guys think?
