Amnesty Generator: Add Videos, Widgets, And Games To Your Vista Sidebar
Looking to add more widgets to your sidebar? Amnesty Generator for Vista is a free application that lets you convert widgets, games, and videos you see on other sites, blogs, or MySpace into gadgets for your Sidebar. You can place Google gadgets, Grazr RSS readers, YouTube videos and more onto your Vista Sidebar or Mac OS X Dashboard.

These are the known issues with the application:
- Note: Because many web widgets are authored using Adobe’s Flash, it is a highly recommended that Flash be installed if converting these widgets into Vista gadgets. However, if you are running a 64 bit version of Vista, then Sidebar will fail to load Flash gadgets because a 64 bit version of Flash is still not available. The only workaround at this time is to run the 32 bit version of Sidebar to run gadgets that use embedded Flash.
- If you cannot get a Flash gadget’s “close/drag” icon to appear, move your mouse away and then slowly up to the very bottom of the gadget. The icon should appear once your mouse crosses the lower boundary of the widget.
- Some gadgets may not respond to clicks until the you move the focus (via clicking) from another gadget and back.
