Mock-up of Firefox 3.0’s Places
Mozilla has posted a mock-up of the much-awaited Firefox 3 feature, Places, in its weekly update. Places will be the new history and bookmark manager that supports tags, and is powered by the SQLite database engine.
The feature was supposed to be included in Firefox 2, but was scrapped because it wasn’t finished in time.

The full mock-up can be viewed here.
High five to Gregg Keizer.

Very cool! I love Firefox so much I would be lost without it. I’ve been using it since they 1st started and the evolution of their incredible browser has been fantastic. I can’t wait for the new version

@Bobby:
I’m eagerly waiting for the new version too. I just hope they solved the problem with the random memory leaks.

I always wondered why FireFox internal bookmark thingy was crap. Atleast it is for me, so I’m glad they have redone it with the new release.

@GnomeyNewt:
Yeah, the existing bookmarking option feels like the old Netscape bookmark thingy heh.

I hope Firefox3 works better with Vista. I never got version 2 to work on my Vista laptop. (#):(

Ooh! Nice! I will look forward to this too. I needed a more “hardcore” bookmarking manager.

I have had my cache disappear a few times. Where did it go? I am paranoid that some jerk hacker will get into my account and erase my database and delete my blog. All I can say is if someone does that, I might be going to prison soon, lol!
