Use an alternitive shell such as bblean or litestep, so no need for desktop or start menu. 2. Set up an SSH tunnel to another non-Vista machine. Set this as a SOCKS5 proxy in Firefox, or whatever browser you use. Microsoft can't see that you are browsing and not doing something else.
