Skype Warns Windows Users Of New Worm
Skype Windows users are in danger of being infected with a worm that spreads through the service’s peer to peer chat feature. The worm attack starts when a Skype user receives a chat message from their contact list or from an unknown user. The message will include a link to a .jpg file. The link actually leads to the W32/Ramex.A virus.
A user clicking on the link will see the save dialog pop up and be asked if they want to save or run the .scr file. Don’t download this file. The worm uses Skype’s API to access an infected user’s computer.
Villu Arak of the Heartbeat Skype blog, stated that running a scan with an updated antivirus tool should get rid of the virus.

Hey buddy!
I know this is quite off topic, but I finally published a Blogroll…and included you in it. I used “Brown Thoughts” as the anchor text, so let me know if you prefer something other than that.
Shine on,
Aaron
