Brown Talk #16: Community Day Sunday

Sunday is reserved for the community here at Brown Thoughts. No regular articles, just one open post for everyone to talk about anything they want.
Everyone is welcome to relax and talk about whatever comes to mind. If you’re one of the lurkers, why don’t you come out of the shadows and join the conversation? Don’t worry about being off-topic.
Nothing is off-topic.
If you can’t think of anything, here are some suggestions:
- What was the worst movie you ever watched?
- What do you do to relax?
Don’t be shy, just dive right in.
This day is all yours
.

First, thanks so much for the link love! The worst movie I ever watched was an Academy Award winning film,
“The English Patient”. Me and my girlfriend at the time got so bored we stopped it half way through and went to sleep!
I watched V For Vendetta last night for the 5th time and couldn’t help but think it was you who was actually the star! That was a great movie and in my mind, you were in it

@Bobby:
Haha you know I actually watched V For Vendetta again yesterday too. What’s even funnier was that I kept thinking the character was me

The worst movie I’ve ever seen was Terms of Endearment with Shirley McClain. It was so bad that I walked out of the theater half way through the movie. I’ve never been a big fan of “chick flicks”, but that one was the worst.
Being online is how I relax. When I’m writing a blog post, replying to a comment, or just finding something to read, I’m in seventh Heaven. And you’re Sunday Comments is one of my favorite parts of the whole thing.

@Christine:
Heh I remember that movie. Saw about 10 minutes and I fell asleep. Of course, that’s probably because I was hoping for an action movie lol.

Ha ha ha! I do know one thing I accomplished today that gives me more hope is that I got problogger’s attention and I know I got to him. I could sense very strongly that it bothered him because he knows I am right. It was no accident either, it was carefully planned and it worked. I figure one way of getting people to listen is by making A-list bloggers listen to me. I want people to re-evaluate who they are and why they do what they do. I know that I made him think and that is pretty cool. He displayed a human side I’ve never read in any of his posts. If I make it big, I’m taking you with me

@Bobby:
Hehe I’ll be right here

I think I have blocked out the name of the worst movie I’ve ever watched but I’m sure it was something like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or something.
I’ve seen a bunch of good movies and one that will probably remain on my list forever is Shawshank Redemption.
What do I do to relax? Good question. Blog, get a pedicure, nap….but I have to say relaxing is not one of my strengths.

Can’t remember what the worst film I’ve ever seen was, though the classic, “Plan 9 From Outerspace” has got to be up there.
Relax? Hmmmm, playing the new games I find here!

@Aruni:

I think I remember a movie called Return Of The Killer Tomatoes. Maybe that was a sequel heh.
@menopauseprincess:
Heh that’s a great way to relax. I don’t think I’ve seen that movie .. lucky me right?

Blues Brothers 3000. Or 2000. Horrid movie. What was I thinking.

@Lisa:
Mine would be “Lords Of The Flatbush” . There were some big name stars in that movie .. they were still very young though and virtually unknown. The movie ended and I was still waiting for the plot to unfold

I’m sure I’ve seen a few bad movies in the past few years but at this time I can’t remember any particular ones… To relax, all I have to do is lay down on the couch and watch tv……
September 11th, 2007 05:07
I will probably regret admitting this, but I kind of liked The Lords of Flatbush. Was one of those coming-of-age films.
Tells you how old I am. LOL

@katalystcz:
I bet you don’t get to watch tv when you’re on the couch. You probably fall asleep in 5 minutes
@Christine:
I think I disliked that movie because I was hoping for some mindless violent movie heh
