NASA To Provide Out Of This World Wallpaper
NASA recently announced its partnership with Internet Archive to digitize it’s video and photo collection that spans 50 years. Aside from scanning, Internet Archive will also be tasked with archiving and managing the entire collection.
NASA’s goal is to create a single online resource where people can find high and low resolution images, videos, and other materials.
NASA spokesman, Bob Jacobs, said:
“One of the challenges, and the thing that interested the Internet Archive, is that the agency didn’t have digital media storage [procedures in place] as one of its core competencies.”
Once the whole collection is digitized, the online resource will be a popular source of high quality wallpaper

That’s gonna be pretty freakin’ sweet. But I’m not sure that it’s going to do much for public interest in NASA which I think it really should be focusing on.

@Bush:
They should make a shuttle simulation game or games that are connected to some of NASA’s programs to generate more interest.
@Shankar:
