Microsoft Increases Windows Live Hotmail Storage

Live HotmailMicrosoft will be increasing the amount of storage for Windows Live Hotmail as well as enhancing some of its existing features. Free Hotmail users will see their accounts upgraded from 2 to 4 GB of storage. Users of the paid version of Hotmail will have their 5 GB account upgraded to 10 GB.

Some of the enhancements to the service include extending the time that messages are left in the junk and delete folders, an option for deleting duplicate contacts, and making it easier to view embedded links and images in email messages.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Google matches the storage upgrade in the near future. How many of you use Windows Live Hotmail?

High five to Paul McDougall.
