Electronic Arts To Publish Classic Board Games
Hasbro has granted Electronic Arts exclusive rights to publish digital versions of its classic board games which include Scrabble, Yahtzee, Monopoly, Nerf, Tonka and Littlest Pet Shop. The digital versions will be available for the PC, mobile, console, and handhelds.
The first batch of games are slated for a 2008 release.
Hasbro’s chief operating officer, Brian Goldner, stated:
“Our toy and game brands have been family favorites for decades, and aligning ourselves with EA will result in broadening the reach of our brands through the ‘reimagining’ of these beloved entertainment icons in all key digital categories.”
My wife and I will enjoy playing these. What board games would you like to see digitized?
High five to Katherine Noyes.

I almost say none of them. I’ve played board games before on PC and console and it’s just not the same. (#)

That’s true. These games are a blessing for those too lazy to leave the computer. You’re thinking of me aren’t you?
