Mozilla Gives Away Security Tools
Mozilla Corporation is releasing some of its security tools to the open source community. The first security tool to be released is The Javascript Fuzzer, a utility which detects javascript bugs in Firefox. Two more tools used for stress testing HTTP and FTP protocols will be released once Mozilla concludes talks with other browser vendors.
Mozilla security chief, Window Snyder, stated:
“We want to make the work we’re already doing available to other people and to other products in the hope that the tools might help developers outside Mozilla spot problems in their code.”
High five to Gregg Keizer.
