BioVault 2.0 Fingerprint Safe Box
Having backups of your precious data is always a good idea but have you ever thought of making sure that your backups are inaccessible to everyone except you? Locked drawer? Not unique enough. Wall safe? Not geeky enough.
The BioVault 2.0 Fingerprint Safe Box is a biometric safe that uses fingerprint technology to verify your identity before granting you access. Originally designed as a gun safe, the BioVault looks good enough for our geeky needs
.

This vault can store up to 50 fingerprints in its flash memory. Of course, giving everyone access kind of defeats its purpose
.

Yeah, did anyone see the Mythbusters episode where they photocopied a thumbprint and got it to work? However, it is still safer than passwords. I got one of those biometric fingerprint garage door keypad to let my kids in because they kept giving the code to all of the other kids at school. It works pretty well for me and only set me back $140.

finger print scanners have a hard time identifying one if the owner’s finger is changing skin. my boyfriend couldn’t log out of their office. so he was forced to use his pinky to register a new ID for him. ( cause his pinky isn’t changing skin.Ü)
