iPhone Sim Hack Video
Take a look at this video that shows an iPhone using a different GSM network. It seems that it’s possible to register the phone on different networks. More problems for AT&T heh.
Update: It seems that YouTube has removed the video from their servers.
High five to Brian White.

This looks cool
Do you think if I buy it will it work with a GSM network here in Pakistan?

@DJ:
I think you should wait a little until they work out all the details with regard to getting it to register on any GSM network. It shouldn’t be long. My guess would be 2 months at the most.

It doesn’t matter me so much how long they need to create the guide, most probably I won’t have enough extra money to get an iPhone shipped to my country at time.

I really liked the idea of the iPhone and all the hype around it. Until I found out that the battery is fixed to the phone and can’t be replaced. You have to send it in or go the the next Apple Shop and it will take 2-3 days to exchange. Are they kidding us? A telephone? How shall I call my mama then? Via Fixed Line? And what about her number? It’s in the phonebook you Apple geeks! Okay, maybe I will remember my mother’s number - but how about grandma, all other relatives and the pizza shop next door?
I don’t think that is the gadget for me……

@Chris:
The iPhone looks good no doubt about it. Let’s just not talk about features hehe.
I like the N95 better

Over here in the UK the phone will be O2 only, just like it is for AT&T for you guys. I can see it being hacked once again
The video will probably be on liveleek, or any of the smaller video sites.
@Brown Baron
Me too, that’s the phone I plan to get next month when my contract runs out.
