Brown Talk: Open Comments Batch 9
Sunday means that I get to be a normal reader instead of being the author. Thanks to Matt of BAYB for giving me the idea. For those unfamiliar with open comments, this just means that you can talk about anything you want.
Nothing is off-topic.
It’s been a great week with lots of new developments.
For all the shy people out there(like me) who come to visit but never comment, this is your chance
.
This post is all yours.

The Burj Dubai is going to be the tallest tower in the world.

@Grace:
It is? I’m going to have to take a look. Not that I’m nosey or anything . . maybe just a little heh.
July 23rd, 2007 02:33
Does this mean I can randomly comment? Or did I misunderstand?
Oh well here goes……..
Roman Soldiers sometimes used to be paid in salt. That is where the word Salary comes from!
July 23rd, 2007 02:38
@Forest:

You can talk about anything you want buddy
Paid in salt? I never knew that

I got carried away today reading my new Flash book and burned my homemade pizza
July 23rd, 2007 07:16
Cool Idea! Can you guys believe its almost the end of the month! Just about 1 more week to go.
@Mike: Sorry your pizza burned!

ive been having a hard time finding blogs to advertise on. Using PPP direct has been a pain because their marketplace settings suck…
A lot of bloggers seem to charge a lot, and they aren’t really worth it… charging 20$ for a 100 word blog post on a pr3 is a little much.
glad i got that off my chest

@Mike:

At least the book is great
@GnomeyNewt:
1 more week geez that’s fast. Pretty soon, we’ll be talking about buying gifts for the holidays
@Matt:
Not many takers?

How do I always seem to miss Open Comments?! Geesh!
July 23rd, 2007 21:49
@Bush:
That’s because you’re still recuperating from that series you just wrapped up
July 24th, 2007 01:22
Ha ha. Maybe that’s it. *groan*
July 24th, 2007 03:13
Open comments?!? That’s an interesting idea!
I’m open for talking about anything that doesn’t involve Michael Vick.
July 24th, 2007 03:37
@Kyle:
Haha I agree
July 24th, 2007 06:49
Hey Brown!
You wanted to know what shy is in Dutch?
It is: “verlegen”. So as to avoid breaking your neck, let me tel you it is pronounced as [ verlaygun ] (with the first e sounding as in ‘ethnic’)
How’s that for an open comment?
Take Care! Have ‘lol’
July 24th, 2007 08:10
Brown Baron- I was just reading an article on that.
July 24th, 2007 08:44
Oh and did you see (in comments on Christy’s WR post on this CowList), that not only ‘lol’ means ‘fun’ in Dutch, but ‘rare’ means ‘weird’. Can you imagine how confused I get when I read english and my brain sees dutch?
July 24th, 2007 12:03
@Jos:
Haha that does sound like a problem.
@Grace:
An article on being shy? Hehe
July 24th, 2007 12:15
