FeedBurner Adds Redirection To Blogger Blogs
The official FeedBurner weblog has just announced that blogs hosted with Blogger can now redirect their native feed to their FeedBurner feed, eliminating the need for “autodiscovery” tags.
All you have to do is log in to your Blogger account, go to Settings >> Site Feed, enter your FeedBurner feed url, and save your settings.
The updated Blogger Quickstart guide shows the exact steps needed to redirect your feed.
Click “Site Feed” under the Settings Tab

Enter your complete FeedBurner feed url into the “Post Feed Redirect URL” text field(http:// included).

Save your settings.

FeedBurner has been everywhere lately haven’t they? I think tomorrow they’re going to come out with THEIR OWN blogging platform ha ha!

Lol. What I’m really waiting for is feedburner stats integrated into Google Analytics
July 13th, 2007 01:21
Yeah, I think everyone is waiting for that. Truly that will be a blessed day.

Bush Mackel- FeedBurner has Blogger. Actually, that’s Google has Blogger.
But I don’t use Blogger.

I think this is great for Blogger.
My biggest Blogger complaint is the dreadful commenting system they use. I suppose it’s all they have to fight spam, but it makes it difficult for me to comment on these types of blogs.

@Grace - OOPS! Completely forgot about that! Ha ha. Well I hope tomorrow Feedburner/Google destroys Blogger and starts over
@Kyle - One of the reasons I tend to stay away from blogger pages is because their commenting system is so screwed up. They’re users don’t even know how many ppl are turned off by them. *nod*

Bush- Uh huh. And suddenly Google will sell itself to you and you will destroy the world.
July 13th, 2007 12:08
Hehehe now that’s nasty
July 13th, 2007 21:50
Whoa…after I changed this yesterday, my subscriber count went from 76 to 207! Holy cow!
Yeah, I wish they would fix the commenting system. I had to enable the verification system because of comment spam, and my post comments decreased dramatically.
I find that Blogger suits my purpose for now, but I may have to migrate sooner or later…

@Rob:
Now that is a great jump!

@Rob - If you’re looking at subscriber totals, sounds like you’re serious about blogging. If you’re serious about blogging, … I would choose “sooner”. (#):D

Added my FeedBurner account last night.
At 10am today, I gained early 30% more feeds.
Bonus!
July 14th, 2007 10:06
@Wayne:
That’s a pretty nice bonus
July 14th, 2007 15:39
It is, yes, but I need to know if I’m going to keep that extra percentage.
I don’t know how the re-direct functions, so I wouldn’t be happy if there was a ‘jolt’ which left my subscribers feeling less than happy with the new feed source…
July 14th, 2007 15:50
That’s true. Let’s hope there aren’t any major glitches
July 14th, 2007 17:39
Actually, there’s more.
Just checked my FeedBurner account and I’ve gained another 15% .. which is nice.
But that might also have something to do with being given the nod from TechDispenser yesterday…

Haha I wish my weekends came with bonuses like that
