Add Music To Your Email Signature

FoxyTunes LogoFoxyTunes is a Firefox extension that not only lets you control your music player from within your browser, it also lets you add music to your email signatures. Signatunes was recently launched as an added feature of FoxyTunes.

Signatunes gives you the option of adding your currently playing song to your blog posts and email signatures. The song’s title and artist will be displayed as a link to FoxyTunes Planet. FoxyTunes Planet is a service that aggregates artist information, and provides streaming versions of music tracks.

Users that have the latest version of FoxTunes installed will notice a new icon added to web sites, social networks, and blogging services.

Interesting concept, but I think many people would find this more annoying then anything.

I agree with ya Listikal. Unless it was somehow embedded in the e-mail and just had a 5 second jingle…I dunno. Personally, I probably wouldn’t click the link.

Unless that link was In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel. *nod*

As long as it stays a link it should be fine. What would be annoying is if it started streaming as soon as you opened the email

Hmmm, that’s interesting indeed. And I agree that if it’s in a link then it shouldn’t be a problem.

Anyone know if bands can upload their own music, like they do on MySpace, etc.? If so, this could be another good little marketing tool for them when they send out emails. “Hey, check out our new tune!”

    Shine on,
    Aaron

Hmm, quite interesting.. Would like to share this blog http://onlyhits.blogspot.com where you can get hyperlink for your favourite Hindi (Indian, Bollywood) song. One select their favourite song and add it as a signature. This too is easy and simple. Indian would really love it !!
