Brown Batch #13: Link Love Fiesta

Stranded Blogger

Sunday means that I feature great posts by other bloggers. These are posts that I enjoyed reading. It would be great if you could visit each one and show these great bloggers some love :grin: .

  • Revellian.com - New Blogger Wisdom
  • Don’t be a dork copycat. If you write a money blog then chances are you copied John Chow’s blogroll. I’ve seen tons of people who have 0 readers, 0 comments and yet they only have the most famous rich bloggers on their link list. That is really ridiculous.

  • Anitokid Chronikos - Corrupt Members Of The Philippine Senate And Congress Receive Da Daily Donkey Award
  • It does not matter that one wishes the price of something to be lower. Everybody wants the price of everything to be lower (except the price of what one is selling, e.g., products, services, or labor). And the story does not change if one buys from someone in another city or another province. It does not change even if one buys from somebody in another country.

  • Madhur - 3 Coolest PC Mods
  • One of the coolest things that you can do with your computer is to modify its physical look and feel according to your choice . The modifications may range from cool cabinets , water cooling kits , LED fans etc . Its basically upto you to decide what you want and how you want .

  • 74 Mashups - Ikordo- Get Your Meeting Organized In A Breeze
  • If you happen to organize meetings that involve more than two attendants who work in different organizations (or simply use different email providers), you are probably aware of the painful process of synchronizing between each of the participants’ calendars.

  • Blah, Blah! Technology - The ‘Blogroll Is Dead. Viva la citation!
  • Additionally, such strong in-bound traffic and linkage will most certainly pique the interest of the search engines, who are the lidless eyes of the web and are ever watchful.

    Another reason for dropping the ‘blogroll is because it’s got to the stage that for me to revise the list with all of the cool people I’ve met in the last two months alone, my ‘blogroll would be massively unwieldy, diminishing those listed even further.

  • ‘Somerset’ Bob - Walking To Fitness
  • As a type-II diabetic — diagnosed a couple of years ago after a lifetime of stuffing myself with sugar and junk food — I was supposed to keep an eye on my blood sugar level and take plenty of exercise.

  • Smart Wealthy Rich - Surefire Ways To Get A Truck Load Of Comments On Your Blog Posts
  • You read a post on a blog, and you feel you can add something to the discussion? Well go for it, leave a comment, better yet, leave a relevant comment, ask questions in your comments, add value to the conversation. It is very likely that the blog owner will notice and visit your blog, and maybe leave a comment on your blog also.

  • Daily Web Ideas - How To Perfectly Target Your Readers
  • Give Your Readers Clear, Short Points. We all know that prevention is what you need to teach people in order for them to learn, yet everyone seems to want the cure. No one wants to take the time to learn how to prevent a problem they haven’t run into yet so your job is to give them prevention but make them feel like you’ve given them the cure.

  • Me And My Drum - Pixel-Pusher Round-up
  • Creating and/or editing images can be overwhelming at times. But progress has been made to help make that job a little easier for you. Granted, there are tons more out there, but here’s a few that I recommend you consider the next time you start pixel-pushing. Btw, all are free.

  • Polliwog’s Pond - I Remembered And I Smiled
  • This post was inspired by some incredible people who have shared their personal stories on what I believe is the absolute worst loss anyone could ever suffer — the loss of a child. I wanted all three of them to know they have changed how this mother thinks, and how I hope to live my life.

    Thanks BB! I know one thing, if you pick someone for your LLfiesta, then each one really is worth reading. It’s not how many links, it’s how important each is. I learned about this from you :smile:

    I think Smart Wealthy Rich covers some good points, points I’ve also covered myself before now.

    Comments are you calling cards, so it’s as well to be personable, share, make friends, influence people .. the usual.

    But don’t be afraid to object, challenge or tell someone they’re wrong, so long as they are wrong, of course!

    Also, I’d be keen to hear what Me And My Drum has to say about Skitch, an image editor for ‘bloggers, which is Mac-only for the time being…

    @Wayne:
    Haha I think that most commenters would rather avoid telling the author he/she is wrong. I agree with you though. As long the author is wrong, commenters should point out the mistake.

    @Madhur:
    You’re welcome buddy :smile:

    @Polliwog:
    It was a great post, I couldn’t stop reading it.
    You’re welcome :grin:

    @Mark:
    Is it post-dated? :mrgreen:

    @Anitokid:
    You’re welcome! :grin:
