Get A Master’s Degree In Gaming
We all know that professional gamers make a lot of money. What we didn’t know, was that you could now get a master’s degree in gaming. All those hours spent playing video games can now be justified.
According to an article at The Register, Trinity College Dublin will be offering a one-year full-time Masters degree in “interactive entertainment technology” in October of this year. The course was designed in collaboration with Microsoft, Demonware, and Radical Entertainment.
Not everyone can get in though. Interested applicants need a minimum grade of 2.1 in Computer Science or any related degree to qualify for the 25 slots available per year.
Why couldn’t they have come up with something like this when I was in college? I guess I’ll need to practice my Desktop Tower Defense hehe.

I have a 13 year old cousin who does absolutely nothing but play video games. I’m not even sure he eats. I’m sure his parents would be just thrilled if he got himself a masters degree as a gamer

Where I live, here on the Mississippi gulf coast, gaming is huge and all the colleges offer it. I was a casino bartender for five years and it was the highest paying job I have ever had. Actually, I am about to go back to it for a little while as I need to make some quick duckies! If you get a degree in gaming these days, expect an exciting job and a big paycheck. That’s all I have to say on this matter
July 6th, 2007 15:58
Can I turn back the clock and get a gaming degree instead?

On second thought, blogging has given me the opportunity to make great friends. That is the biggest paycheck of them all
July 6th, 2007 18:20
