Firefox 3 Public Beta Release Nears
Mozilla has released the last alpha version of its popular browser, Firefox, to make way for the scheduled launch of the first public beta on July 31. Firefox 3 Alpha 6, or Gran Paradiso as it’s called, sports an upgraded SQLite engine, improved cookie performance, enhanced add-on and download tools, and support for site-specific text size preferences.
According to mozillaZine, releases of Firefox 3 Alpha are branded using the Gran Paradiso codename in an effort to discourage casual users from downloading them. Regular users are advised to stay with the stable Firefox 2 for now.
I just hope that all my plugins will still work when the final version is released

I like the idea of site specific text size. There a couple sites I visit where the text is just too teeny for me and it would be nice to set them for a specific size and not have to keep doing it each time I visit

I hope the new version comes out with options to set site specific fonts and font colors too. There are some sites that kill my eyes with their choice of font color. It’s like getting an instant migraine
