Brown Batch #12: Link Love Fiesta

Stranded Blogger

Sunday’s the day for featuring great posts by other bloggers. I’m sure the authors would love it if you gave them a visit. This week’s batch are the following:

  • Ramblings Of An Undisturbed Mind - Link-Building, Readership Building Idea
  • We all like to see our blogs mentioned on other blogs-it’s confirmation that someone is reading. But it also does two other things: Provides backlinks and potential new readers. Two of the most important aspects of blogging, even more so if you are monetizing your blog. Backlinks moves you up in rankings, readership allows more people to interact on your blog, therefore more traffic. Both, in the long run, will assist you in making more money with your blog.

  • Cellularized - Sony Ericsson W999 Walkman Phone
  • There have been rumors about the new Walkman phone supposed to be named as W999. Pictures of this phone are out and available in HSPA website. Its a slider phone and is similar to recently announced W580i.

  • Sizlopedia - How To Backup Your Firefox And Thunderbird Settings
  • This is one great tool that can make a backup of all your firefox settings on the fly. The good thing is that it comes as a stand alone application and does not interfere with your Firefox installation.

  • Bush Mackel - Video Game Addiction
  • I thought I knew about video game addiction when trying to Gold Medal every last thing on the original Project Gotham Racing for XBox. (Which I ended up doing). But recently, the term “video game addiction” has made it into the news, this time the talk being whether or not it is a true addiction akin to alcoholism!

  • RandLife - Internal Linking
  • To most people the idea of internal linking has probably never crossed your mind, but that’s ok. It’s never too late to start. This strategy can ultimately make or break you. Search engines like google look at your website and it classifires your website under two categories. Important, and Unimportant.

  • NeonScent - Contact Forms VS Email Links
  • I used to think this method was time consuming (clicking the icon, entering contact information and details, etc.), but now I like this contact method better, because it feels more like you’re contacting the author personally, rather than through a form.

  • Success Online - Celebrating Success -Success Daily
  • Be proud of your Technorati rankings, traffic increases, new readers, reviews, clicks on advertisements, new affiliate sign ups and everything else that helps move you towards your goal can be celebrated.

Just remember however that just like in sports when you score a touch down that it is your job to score. You don’t need to get so confident because you scored and start doing the dirty bird.

  • World Outside My Window - Cyber Bullying Common on networking sites like MySpace
  • About one third (32%) of teens say they have been bullied online, according to a recent report titled ‘Cyberbulling and Teens‘ that was issued by Pew Internet & American Life Project. The report said that girls were more likely to be victims than boys (33% of girls vs 23 % of boys.)
