The iReply Movement Is Born

iReply LogoAfter reading a post by Mark from Me And My Drum which was related to Mike’s article on Ordinary Folk, the three of us decided to start the iReply movement. We were talking about how a lot of bloggers hardly respond to their commenters so this is basically a plea to bloggers to try and respond to people who leave comments on their blogs.

Why the heck for?
When people comment on your post, they’re acknowledging what you’ve written. Why not be polite and respond in kind? Heck, I’m shy and I still manage to respond to the people who are kind enough to comment on my posts. Not only does this encourage more comments, but it also helps in developing a community within your blog.

How do I join?
If you respond to your commenters regularly, then you’re already a member  . If you haven’t been responding to your commenters, try thanking them or saying “hi”. You’ll find that more and more people will participate because your blog has such a welcoming vibe.

Can I use that logo?
We’d be delighted if you did. I’d like to thank Mike for generously providing the logo.

It’s currently 4 am where I’m at so if I don’t respond right away that means I fell asleep.
