Use Your Brain As A Remote
Good news for all couch potatoes out there. You’ll be able to use your brain to turn your tv on and change channels in the not too distant future. Hitachi Inc. has developed a “brain-machine interface” that translates brain activity into electronic signals.
Hitachi recently demonstrated their brain machine at their Advanced Research Laboratory outside Tokyo. The brain machine was connected to a mapping device, which was linked to a toy train set.
The researcher who was wearing the head gear, was instructed to perform simple calculations in hear head. As long as she continued with her mental calculations, the train would keep running.
The potential for this type of technology is incredible but I really just want one thing. I’d like to be able to give my kids a bath by just thinking about it.

Heard this on the news - didn’t catch the whole story - thanks for filling in what I missed. Holy Moly! Hitachi’s ‘brain machine’ is in one respect awesome and in another a bit scary. I wonder what will happen when the military gets a hold of this technology - talk about the Man from Manchuria!

Holy Crap, Batman, I had a brain-fart. I meant to say - The Manchurian Candidate. Yikes.
