As the TechCrunch article put it, it's very "left field" for Microsoft, but it looks like a good idea. However, it's iterative rather than innovative, as much of the technology is already out there. That said, there's some nice touches, though, like the wireless synching, which should really remove the pain .. or at least off-set some of the pain of using Microsoft products...
