Hitachi Releases Terabyte Hard Drive

Hitachi DeskstarHitachi has just released the first terabyte hard drive, the Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000. The drive is a Serial ATA drive with a speed of 7,200 RPM. The price is impressive too. It’s selling at $399. With the size of games and applications today, this is just what the doctor ordered. Defragging a hard drive this size might take a while and will require a great amount of patience. It might take days heh.

Of course if you do decide to get one, remember that having greater storage also means that you could potentially lose more files if the hard drive dies. The solution? Get 2 of these  .
