Swapper: Secure Private File Sharing
Swapper is a free file sharing program designed for friends who like to swap files regularly. Although it uses P2P technology, it differs from BitTorrent in a big way, - there’s no search feature. Swapper was designed for private transfers between friends which means that all communications are password protected and encrypted. Swapper doesn’t store your password, you can log in using your Google, MSN, AOL, or Yahoo ID.
To use it, click “New Swap” and drag and drop the files you want to share, and enter the email of your friends. Your friends will receive an email with instructions on how to get your files and how to upload files of their own. Your files are automatically compressed and cached which speeds up file transfers.
The program supports Windows XP and Vista.

I just took a quick first pass and I didn’t notice anything about file size limits. This is great for swapping files when one of the two sides of the transaction is offline. Otherwise, why not just use an instant messenger?
This could be really cool for a closer community. For example, file sharing within a dorm or even a campus-wide network. All that would need to be done is set up some kind of centralized hub for sharing: File name/description and access credentials. This could be done with a simple web page or a less conspicuous (to the MAF-IAA) IRC channel.
