Joost Gets $45 Million From 5 Investors



JoostJoost has recently announced that it has received $45 Million from five investors. The five investors are: Global Expansion Index Ventures, CBS, Sequoia Capital, Li Ka Shing Foundation, and Viacom. The biggest content contributor so far has been CBS with over 2,000 hours of news, sports, and entertainment programming. Viacom will let Joost show content from MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount, and Nickelodeon. This gives Joost more than 150 channels and boosts its chances of overtaking YouTube in the online video race.
