Brown Thoughts Turns 3 Months Old

Anniversary I just realized that this blog reached its third month 3 days ago. It seems that time really does go fast when you’re having fun. While this is small news compared to the age of most of the blogs out there, it’s a big deal for me as I never expected to have this much fun blogging.

These were the goals I set when I started blogging. Try not to laugh too hard heh.

Get 10 people to subscribe - I figured if I could get ten people to subscribe to my feed then that would prove that I’m not the only crazy person in the world.
Get people to actually come back and comment - Getting people to come back and comment on this blog would prove that they didn’t fall asleep from boredom while reading my posts.

Those were my only goals when I started. What I didn’t expect was what I would learn and discover once I started blogging. I’ve discovered a lot of great blogs made by people crazier than I am. I’ve found that most veteran bloggers will help you out if you ask. The biggest discovery for me was finding out that blogging is no longer a hobby for me. It’s a passion now.

That is quite an achievement to be so young yet have a decent Technorati authority and subscriptions. I’m jealous! Congratulations to you though.

Congrats! I started my blog a bit more recently than you, primarily to just try something new on the web. And I guess like you, it’s now one of my favorite things to do if for no other reason than it’s great to connect to new people from all walks of life at (what seems) a deeper level than what you’d get on a social networking site. So yeah, congrats again, and you’re gonna have to give me some tips on what you’ve learned thus far to get your blog going!

Thanks! I agree that the connections you make through blogging are somewhat deeper compared to social networking. I think the smartest thing I’ve done is to make friends with new bloggers like myself.
